the unprinted woodblock


This is is the upper left corner 
of the woodblock I just completed cutting.

This is NOT the printed block.


This entire block will be photographed by the PictureSalon in Madison, Wisconsin
and be committed to the Giclee printing programs.
I will have prints of this freshly cut, and unprinted block.



Once the ink is rolled onto this block,
it will never, ever look like this again
which is why I get photos of them before I print.



I think these blocks at this stage are beautiful....


BUT the final print is what this block exists for....
it's destiny!

Woodblock of too much detail


Due to my mental/emotional battle with a saddening world.
I seem to have packed this with a world into which I would escape.
Having simply run out of wood to cut, I guess it's time to get it ready to print.
